Brutal Legend characters rock up Ümloud
News posted by Ryan on December 20th, 2009 at 11:26am GMTIf supporting the most successful gaming-orientated charity in the world wasn’t good enough reason to be at this year’s Ümloud, getting to see a bunch of Brutal Legend characters performing Judas Priest’s ‘The Hellion/Electric Eye’ certainly was!
If you were there you’d have seen Eddie Riggs (Josh Rishardson), the Killmaster (Ash Aiwase), Drowned Ophelia (Ashley Farmer), and the Guardian of Metal (Gabe Roland) — in addition to Mangus (Skot York) who’s said to have been vital for moral/technical support.
As well as Brian Haberer’s superb photos, there’re two videos of the performance up on YouTube:
Now this is a charity I can get behind.

Why didn’t they put in the real guys?
Like real Lemmy, Real Ozzy, Real Jack Black (I will not say eddie!!). These guys costumes suck and Eddie doesn’t look like eddie. Mangus looks like a junkie and Ophelia looks like… My sister (lol).
It’s a charity event, Witcher. They’re fans who paid a considerable sum of money to the Child’s Play charity in order to perform on stage, and they did a pretty good job.
Obviously it’s not going to be as impressive as if the real stars were involved, but if that were to happen the charity would have to spend pretty much all its money on hiring them. :P
Ouch, dude. Just ouch.
