Brutal Legend demo coming in September

GAME here in the UK have sent me an email saying that preorderers with them will have early access to the demo!

well this is fucked up…… im canadian but there is nothing about canadians…… i pre-ordered mine from EB…. hopefully i can get the demo

There seems to be a bit of ambiguity about this. I’ve had two people say they’ve had an email telling them that they’ll get the demo a week early, however the official page doesn’t say this.

If anyone can paste their pre-order email and clarify whether it means pre-orderers get it on September 17th or before that it’d be much appreciated!

HA!!! looks like I get the demo September 11th due to a gamestop pre-order. Dear Metal Gods Thanks so much for allowing me the opportunuty to actually playu some Brütal Legend awesomeness early as a reward for my pre-order at gamestop, and no doubt my intense obsession of all things Brütal. That’s what seems to be the case, partdemon. The pre-order vendors have already started emailing people, letting them know that they’ll be getting the demo early.

If I preordered from in-store will I still get the early access demo and Tenacious D guitar?

I just read this from the GAME.co.uk Website from which I preordered Brutal Legend.

“UK ONLY. Limited Offer while stocks last. Customers who have already preordered this product will also receive the bonus item. You will need access to Xbox Live (Silver or above) or PlayStation Network in order to download your demo. Your code will be emailed to you on 14th September 09 ahead of the early demo release on 16th September 09 with full details of how to access it. Please ensure your email address in Your Account is valid.”

So, what..? The UK get the early access demo 5 days after everyone else? Will the normal demo be released later as well? Or has the demo launch been delayed and they’re moving everything back a bit? Or does the UK just suck at releasing stuff?

It’s pretty unclear at the moment, Kalemeth — it seems different places are offering conflicting details. I’ve got my preorder with GAME too and it does seem like we won’t be playing anything until September 16th, but I don’t know how that compares with other vendors.

Anyone who’s preordered elsewhere got any info to add?

I looked at the other sites that are holding the early demo release promotion. Only Gamestop has a “when the early access is” displayed on their site. (language barrier on some of the sites but didn’t see any number dates.)

17th of september. So one day after the UK gets it? That seems strange, since The USA nearly always get stuff released there first.

I find it funny all these sites claim “Exclusive to us”. Even when there’s 7 other sites offering the same thing. >.>

Well from what I was told from when I called up Gamestop they didn’t have it on 9/11 as there website said. Though it may be when they were sent out. Now based on the website said they would arrive on the 16th if preorder online. So it may be when they arrive in the store on the 16th. The one in my town didn’t receive one yesterday and didn’t receive anything today(9/12) and was informed they wouldn’t receive anything until Monday(9/14) or Tuesday(9/15). So it may be only a couple of days before it gets public.or just a day. Still for me I think of it as hell a lot eariler then I am use to since I am silver and have to wait a week for the new demos.

So far no dice on it so far, but the full opening that showcases the swearing and the violence being turned off has surfaced. Will cheek today if it has arrived since it is 9/16.

Until September 17 at 11 pacific the codes will not be valid, and using it before that will make it INVALID.

Ha, the gamestop Preordered mine from said that they didnt exist, I had to go to call one at the local mall and she had a whole stack, she even just gave me the code over the phone. apparently my local gamestop is TERRIBLE.

I know it sucks, better to be told it then get the code use it and make it invalid. You just have to wait till 11pm tonight, me I have to wait until Tuesday for it. I really do hate the Brutal Legend so far has just been a cock tease so far.
