Brutal Legend tracks to be unleashed upon Rock Band
News posted by Ryan on October 9th, 2009 at 5:42pm GMTFans of Rock Band will be delighted to hear that a chunk of Brutal Legend‘s epic soundtrack is going to be hitting the Wii, Xbox LIVE, and PlayStation Network next week. Comprised of three tracks, this is the next best thing for those who’ve been pining to use a guitar peripheral when unleashing the combo moves. Kind of.
Xbox LIVE and the Wii will get the pack on October 13th, whereas PlayStation Network users will need to wait until October 15th. Wii owners will only be able to download each track individually however, and not as a complete pack.
The pricing is:
- Whole pack: $5.49 USD / £2.49 GBP / €3.99 / 440 Microsoft Points
- Per track: $1.99 USD / £0.99 GBP / €1.49 / 160 Microsoft Points / 200 Wii Points
And the tracks are:
- Motörhead: (We Are) The Road Crew ‘08
- Tenacious D: The Metal
- Testament: More Than Meets the Eye
Thanks to Andy for pointing this one out.
Update
[October 10th, 2009 at 9:53am GMT+1] Guh, this is what I get for writing posts in a hurry while on my way out. As Harmonix didn’t make it clear which tracks are included in the pack, I included their whole list whereas in actual fact just three of them comprise the Brutal Legend pack. Post above edited accordingly!

Err… Blink 182 isn’t metal. I think that the Brutal Legend pack was just the Motorhead, Tenacious D, and Testament… http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/60804
blink-182 is my favorite band but whys it in this track pack its not metal or in the game
Well they probably sneaking in on the pack so someone will buy it. It is the old deal of get something that may not be selling added to the mix. Take for example getting a diet coke and a regular coke in a combo for a quarter more if you buy both. So you get a diet you add on which be cheaper then getting another coke so you pay the extra quarter thinking what the hell sounds like a good idea. It will taste like crap that is for certain, but you got people taking the crappy with the good.

Haha yes Noyb, it appears Harmonix’s official post was really unclear about that.
I didn’t actually really process what I was pasting as I was in a huge rush to leave and catch the train home while writing that — noticed as soon as I read the post this morning they don’t belong there. :E
