brutal_legend_20090602231120When did Jack Black get attached to the project? was he a fan of Psychonauts by any chance?
He is! That’s what gave us the nerve to ask him to be in the game — we heard he liked Psychonauts. He played all the way through, and even got through Meat Circus without a walkthrough.

If there were one thing you could have on a console hardware-tech-wise, what would it be? No smellovision.
Honestly, I’m not waiting for any big technology. I think we have the technology to make amazing games now.

How long is Brutal Legend‘s campaign?
Just long enough for you to liberate humanity, but you’re welcome to hang out in the Age of Metal for as long as you like.

Brutal Legend is coming for PC also, right? Is it at the same time as the consoles version?
We are coming out on PS3 and XBOX 360. If you don’t have one of those machines, you have until Rocktober 13 to get one!

Is Eddie’s Shirt and the flag text behind a clue of some short from the recent story trailer?
Yes. Don’t try to figure it out though, or you might uncover a demonic conspiracy and get in over your head.

What is your favourite part of the game? And how much do you love giraffes?
Wait a second…are you a giraffe? Don’t try to trick me into endorsing giraffes, you know that is something that I can never do.

Were the metal artists you got for voices and music excited about the idea of the game?
They all seemed to have a lot of fun working on it and could tell it really treated metal with love and respect.

Can I be your roadie Mr. Schafer? Until I’m awesome enough to make my own games that is.
You know, I’ve been thinking about getting a roadie. But first I have to find a bus for you to drive and some amps to carry.

Did Jack Black have to get into a motion capture suit?

What is your dream project that isn’t Brutal Legend?
Brutal Legend 2.

May I have some of your beard? (I hear it will give me DESIGN POWERS.)
Yes, you are welcome to take the gray parts, you can’t have any of the parts with food in them. I’m saving those for later.

What does your mind look like? I can’t look into it from here.
I tried to look at it just now and it kind of hurt my eyes to look back that far. I think you broke my eyes. Luckily, I am a touch-twitterer.

I know Coggs, many asked questions that had already been answered. Went threw the links and gave them when I could. I got to help Tim, was a dream come true. Was tough keeping up, was impressed at how well Tim was able to do it.

“I can’t pick a favorite! That would be like picking a favorite flower in a garden of beautiful flowers. Wait, no. It’s like something much tougher sounding than that!”

“The shareholders, sir. It’s good PR to be seen hobnobbing with real Corley Motors customers.”

Tim Schafer is a big ball of wit and past references.
