Wii version is probably off the cards

WiiFollowing a rumour that did the rounds a couple of months ago, it looks like the Wii version of Brutal Legend won’t come to fruition after all.

Destructoid has supposedly gotten in touch with sources close to Electronic Arts, who said that a Wii version was being developed internally by EA but ended up being cancelled due to worries about the port’s quality — a sentiment shared by myself and a number of BRUTAL! readers.

While this is obviously unconfirmed — not that the original ‘Wii version’ rumour was confirmed anyway — it’s reasonable to assume that Destructoid’s source is solid due to the site’s reputability.

Who wants to play a poor version of Brutal Legend anyway :b

I am honestly glad, we dont need a crappy, terrible port of Brutal Legend comming out so people can say “What a bad game!” which would once again probley lead to Tim not getting the recognition he deserves.

I have nothing againt the Wii, its just ports from the PS3 or 360 to the Wii suck 90% of the time. The Wii needs original titles for it, like The Conduit or MadWorld. Not ports.

It’s a shame the money they wasted on this misguided project wasn’t just put toward a PC port.

^ Agreed, while I dont care at all if there is a PC port or not, it would be a MUCH wiser choice then having a Wii Port.

Oh well, I have nothing to worry about.

I agree with Coggs on this one. Nothing against the Wii, but with all the buttons necessary to play Brutal Legend, a Wii port is nigh impossible without assloads of suck.
