Brutal Legend box art unveiled
News posted by Ryan on June 24th, 2009 at 10:57am GMTElectronic Arts has started distributing copies of the official box art for Brutal Legend, which I’m sure you’ll see on pre-order pages everywhere before long. As you’d expect Double Fine has done an excellent job with the artwork — I have a feeling it’s going to draw in more regular Joes than Psychonauts‘ relatively ambiguous box art!
You also may be interested in checking out an image I added to the ‘Concept Art’ gallery last week, which is very likely to be the art behind whatever’s on the back of the box. This came from the official Brutal Legend Twitter page, named ‘BackCover_Final.jpg’.
All looks fantastic to me!

If I was to pick one of the two boxes, I would go with the PS3 version, as it looks the best for some reason :O

I love it, its AWESOME! I hope the include a poster of it, cuz thats a poster I would actually hang on my wall. I am so excited we got the offical box art, its getting closer and closer to release!
I think it’s pure marketing genius. I pre-ordered Brutal Legend for PS3 from Gamestop a while ago and i don’t own a PS3! Ever since then I’ve only been more impressed and more amazed by the depth and perfection of every new thing i see poured into the Legend of the heavy metal gods and their influence on the brutal history of a violent species. And giving Jack Black the chance to star in what I believe is his best Role ever. Ang miraculously getting an unbelievable musical cast SO-FAR! Lemmy, Ozzy, Lita!

I guess it’s possible GameStop made them themselves using that image, in fact maybe that was going to be the box art at one point. That or you get a special box with their pre-order edition, along with the exclusive guitar.
