Discover the world of Brutal Legend

forest_environmentI quickly threw this up on the Community Tracker yesterday, but if you missed it you would do well to check out Double Fine art director Lee Petty’s video which takes you through the epic world of Brutal Legend.

Showing off many of the game’s absolutely beautiful environments — as well as part of the sky effects video that was shown at GDC but never released to the public — it’s an absolute must for anyone who finds Brutal Legend a visually astounding game (How can you not?!).

Look out for a HD version on the BRUTAL! YouTube channel tonight.

Yeah definitely, the big landmarks are downright jaw dropping. I’m really pleased with how much enviromental variety there seems to be, as early on it looked like it’d mostly be brown and desert-like — clearly that’s not the case, with beautiful snowy and jungle areas. I particularly like how the Drowning Doom’s areas look, too.

Exploring this world, looking for the open world collectible things is going to awesome. I wonder if they can keep up the awesome for 64km, though.

Judging from the clips of the game we have seen, I’d say with the way some of the scenery changes so quickly in some areas from one type of scenery/location to another that they could have actually done with an even bigger world! So I am guess we dont have anything to worry about and that there will be plenty to see and do in the space given!
